FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Arobella showcases new ultrasound wound therapy
hand piece at 2013 Diabetic Limb Salvage!

Washington, DC (October 12, 2013) - Arobella showcased and presented the new ultrasound wound therapy hand piece for the Qoustic Wound Therapy System™ platform at the 2013 Diabetic Limb Salvage Conference held at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC from October 10th – 12th, 2013. The new Qoustic Wound Therapy System™, Model AR1000D Series converter hand piece provides quicker and easier turnaround between patients and adds the ability to be steam sterilized for ready use in the sterile field (e.g. operating rooms/theatres and the like).

Debridement is essential for proper wound management, and the Qoustic Qurette™ unique dome-shaped probe puts Ultrasonic Wound Therapy (UWT) to work debriding patients’ wounds, i.e. removing, by direct contact, superficial dead tissue, exudates, and other non-viable matter from healthy tissue. Simpler and easier than ever, the new AR1000D hand piece can treat more patients than ever before and make an even bigger impact on the standard-of-care in treating wounds. The Qoustic Qurette™ also provides cleansing irrigation of the wound site. Additional benefits of ultrasound wound therapy is indicated in the clinical studies and scientifc literature for improved healing times and utcomes, siginifcantly less pain in debridement, reduction in bleeding, disruption of bacteria and biofilm, increased blood perfusion, and other effects.

Dinesh Pasricha, National Sales Manager for Arobella Medical, commented, "We were extremely busy at the DLS meeting with over 100 attendees visiting our exhibit seeking a product demonstration. The Qoustic Wound Therapy System™ represents the forefront of ultrasound wound therapy and the new Model AR1000D Series converter hand piece provides quicker and easier turnaround between patients and adds the ability to be steam sterilized in response to customer feedback to make a great product even better. We have been asked for trials in variety of facilities - from stand-alone wound clinics, long term care facilities, hospital outpatient clinics, operating rooms, burn centers, and more - from private organization to federal and state affliated facilities."
