Seattle, WA (November 6, 2013) – Arobella showcased and presented the new ultrasound wound therapy hand piece for the Qoustic Wound Therapy System™ platform at the AMSUS 2013 Annual Meeting held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA from November 3rd – 6th, 2013. The new Qoustic Wound Therapy System™, Model AR1000D Series converter hand piece provides quicker and easier turnaround between patients and adds the ability to be steam sterilized for ready use in the sterile field (e.g. operating rooms/theatres and the like).
Debridement is essential for proper wound management, and the Qoustic Qurette™ unique dome-shaped probe puts Ultrasonic Wound Therapy (UWT) to work debriding patients’ wounds, i.e. removing, by direct contact, superficial dead tissue, exudates, and other non-viable matter from healthy tissue. Simpler and easier than ever, the new AR1000D hand piece can treat more patients than ever before and make an even bigger impact on the standard-of-care in treating wounds. The Qoustic Qurette™ also provides cleansing irrigation of the wound site. Additional benefits of ultrasound wound therapy is indicated in the clinical studies and scientifc literature for improved healing times and utcomes, siginifcantly less pain in debridement, reduction in bleeding, disruption of bacteria and biofilm, increased blood perfusion, and other effects.
Dinesh Pasricha, National Sales Manager for Arobella Medical, commented, “We were extremely busy at the AMSUS 2013 Annual Meeting as we worked closely with our local representatives to coordinate all the interest of the attendees visiting our exhibit seeking a product demonstration.
